CENTENARY YEAR 2011

The Institute was donated to the villagers of Kildwick and Farnhill in 1911,  so this is our Centenary Year.  We had an “open weekend” during the weekend of 26th and 27th November; it was great to see so many people meeting together in the Institute.

Thanks to all who came along, who lent us the historic photographs of the villages, and who shared their memories of Kildwick and Farnhill.

FARNHILL VILLAGE WEBSITE

A website for Farnhill has recently gone live. “Focus on Farnhill” provides up-to-date information about what is happening around the Village, including news about the Institute.  The website can be found here.

EVENTS

The refurbishment of the Institute is now complete, but there is always more to do, and fundraising remains an important part of the Committee’s work. 

Our event programme for 2011 is now complete; and we’re starting to think about events for 2012 ......

CALENDAR 2012

Once again we’ve produced a Calendar of local views for 2012. This will be on sale in the Institute during the Centenary Celebration weekend, above.  The price remains unchanged at £5.

We also intend to do this again for 2013; please see here for full details as to how you can have your photo included if you missed out this time!
